Extra Thick Horticultural Fleece 1.8m x 10m (35gsm)
We think this is the best insulating fleece available. At 35gsm this frost fleece is double the thickness of standard garden fleece.
Lay a single layer of fleece over your veg plot or raised bed for a few days before sowing or planting to warm up the soil. After sowing or planting drape the fleece loosely over your seeds or seedlings and they'll push it upwards as they grow.
Your plants will get off to a head start and be protected from pests and frosts. Keep the fleece in place during the summer months and it will diffuse strong sunlight to prevent your veg plants from getting scorched. Pegs (available separately) will keep everything secure.
Our fleece is permeable enough to allow sunlight, air and moisture through to maintain healthy growth.
Also perfect for protecting prized plants from winter frosts, simply wrap around palms, olive trees, shrubs and fruit trees.
Size: 10 metres x 1.8 metres.
Also Available: Fleece Tunnels, Mini Polytunnels and Tomato Greenhouse.
Horticultural frost fleece protects tender plants, foliage and new buds from frost and snow so that the water in the plant cells doesn't freeze. Simply drape over plants and shrubs or wrap around trees.
When temperatures rise during March and April your seeds will start to grow rapidly. But every time temperatures drop, growth grinds to a halt. A covering of fleece keeps temperatures up, ensuring steady growth. It also diffuses strong sunlight, providing shade and preventing scorching.
