October 2010
Friday 1st October our Gardening Angels visited the first ever Chilli Lovers Fair which is part of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival to encourage and inspire the visitors to grow their own chillies in a space as small as a windowsill.

There were 20 stands of Chilli related products such as chilli beer and even chilli toffee, including our fabulous chilli growing kits. The Windowgrow is perfect for miniature chillies in small spaces and the Quadgrow for the larger chillies.

We had a fantastic day, even though the weather was not great, chatting to all the chilli lovers and sharing our Rocotto Red, Big Jim, Joes Long, Trinidad Scorpion chillies and many more chillies, all of which we have grown this year in our demonstration greenhouse in Mawdesley.

But the real highlight was meeting two Coronation Street stars, Ryan Thomas and Keith Duffy. Faye and Natasha really enjoyed showing the guys our products and even got some great photos,

Through out October, the Greenhouse Sensation Gardening Angels where out and about in the North West, turning as many little fingers as green as possible during half term.

Supporting Garden Organic’s One Pot Pledge® campaign to encourage as many people as possible who have never grown something before to give growing a go. Children had the chance to plant something on the day which they could then take home and grow something delicious for free.

Once each child had planted their seeds they then had the chance to take home some stickers, activity sheets and also sign up for a Winter Grow Guide, to learn how to grow incredible edibles at home on a space as small as a windowsill. Here's where the Gardening Angels headed...
