Our best selling planter gives you bigger harvests and holiday-proofs your plants.

This set of pots cleverly keeps your plants perfectly fed and watered for up to 2 weeks at a time thanks to the large SmartReservoir and FeederMat controlled watering, so you raise healthier plants with bigger harvests.

Simply fill the SmartReservoir and let the FeederMats in the pots pull water up to the roots when they need it. Although the plants have access to water whenever they need it, roots are never stood in water, so access to oxygen is never limited.

The SmartReservoir holds 30 litres, plenty to keep plants perfectly fed and watered for several days at a time. So, that's no more holiday watering rotas, and definitely no disappointing harvests caused by erratic watering.

The Quadgrow is an ideal replacement for your traditional tomato pots or grow bag.

What you will receive:
Quadgrow with 4 or 8 x 11 Litre pots, 30 Litre SmartReservoir and FeederMats

Plant nutrients– makes 5 Litres of concentrated nutrients - sufficient for one season
Jargon-free instructions

Add a 25 Litre Holiday Watering Kit

For longer periods between watering you can connect the Quadgrow to a 25 Litre Holiday Watering Kit.
The holiday watering kit includes all connectors.

The Quadgrow produces healthier plants and bigger harvests by providing your plants with constant access to water without ever over-watering.

Plants need to constantly replace the water they use, but overwatering prevents roots from accessing oxygen and is actually the number one cause of plant demise.

What happens when we overwater?
If soil is over-watered the pores in the soil become blocked and the roots can't access the air in the soil. The lack of oxygen means that the roots can't take up water or nutrients. A plant weakened by overwatering becomes susceptible to disease, particularly fungal attacks. If the over-watering is repeated the roots suffocate and die.

Perfect for?

Tomato plants – The Quadgrow is the perfect replacement for traditional tomato pots and tomato planters.

What happens when we underwater?
Plants use water for cell growth and for overall health, but they also need water for the following specific functions, which are compromised when we under-water.

Transporting minerals and nutrients
Plants use water to move minerals and nutrients from the roots around the plant, and to move glucose (from photosynthesis) from leaves to other cells in the plant.

Photosynthesis
About 5% of the water absorbed by plants is used to make glucose during the photosynthesis process.

Transpiration
As well as water, plants need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis (they combine water, carbon dioxide and light to produce glucose). They access this carbon dioxide through microscopic openings on their leaves and stems. These openings are called ‘stomata’. The stomata open and close regularly to absorb carbon dioxide and as they do this they also release water, this release of water is called transpiration. If the plant is short of water it won't open its stomato as frequently and therefore it won't photosynthesise as much. Sunny, hot weather increases the rate of transpiration, so plants need more water in these conditions.

It's no wonder then that incorrect watering causes most gardening problems, including blossom end rot and fruit splitting, such as when growing in traditional tomato planters.

As we are the inventors, designers and manufacturers of the Quadgrow planter we are always really pleased when somebody says something nice about it and lots of people have, no wonder it's a best seller. Here's a sample of what magazines and professional growers have said about it.

”I have purchased and use regularly two Vitopod propagators, also Quadpots for growing tomato and chilli plants.
Greenhouse sensation are very good at what they do, they have excellent products on a 1st class website and they answer any queries and offer advice on the best way to grow vegetables.
The Hydroponic propagators and systems are also excellent and I highly recommend them”

Well made piece of kit. Review by Alan
Quality
I have just taken delivery of my quadgrow kit. (Quadgrow slim X2) I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality. It certainly looks like it will do the job. Everything is well made and of top quality. The only reason that I have given 4 stars not 5 is that I haven't grown anything yet, this rating is purely based on appearance.
I can't wait for the tomato season.
I have some Alaskan Fancy plants that I sowed very late with the idea of catching a late crop in the greenhouse. Bush tomatoes are probably not ideal for this system but I think I shall try planting two bushes into opposite ends of a quadgrow and perhaps put a tall chilli or two into the middle just to see what happens. I have a couple of Pimientos de padron plants that might do the job.
If it works well I may be tempted to turn the heat up a notch in the greenhouse and plant the other planter as well.
I like the idea of a steady water and feed supply for long periods - should mean an end to blossom end rot. Especially when you are away for a few days and someone else does the watering. 30 litres should last a fair while, and there is the option of the holiday reservoir if you want even more.

It's so wonderful to NOT have to run outside lugging watering cans every night after work Review by Annette, Worcester

It's so wonderful to NOT have to run outside lugging watering cans every night after work, in a feeble attempt to try and keep the tomatoes evenly watered. My plants are now flowering and setting fruit, and I'm looking forward to a bumper harvest of beautiful toms... (Posted on 23/09/2011)

Miles better than tradition plant pots Review by julian
Quality
I grew peppers under identical conditions, in the Quadgrow and in a normal plant pot. The experiment wasn't completely scientific, but the Quadgrow plants grew at roughly three times the rate, and produced much healthier plants with a much bigger crop of fruit. Have since used it to grow fantastic basil. Two or three other people have bought them after seeing the results I was getting. (Posted on 21/09/2011)
