What's great about it?

Grow Bigger Harvests
Plants in the Quadgrow and Octogrow produce bumper harvests because they are provided with constant access to water and nutrients but they never sit in water.
Your plants are never over-watered or under-watered, great news when you consider that these are the two most common causes of many gardening problems. You won’t hear Quadgrow growers complaining of blossom end rot and yellow leaf drop.
The 11 litre pots provide each plant with plenty of space to grow the large, thick roots they need for nourishment. Well nourished plants are stress free so they can focus on producing fruit. We regularly harvest 10lbs of tomatoes from our Quadgrow.
Develop Greener Fingers
Whether you are completely new to gardening, or you have decades of growing under your belt, your fingers will quickly become greener.
Because you can see how much water has been taken from the reservoir each day you’ll develop a keen understanding how the amount of water plants need differs according to soil dampness, plant size, light levels and weather conditions. So you’ll soon be watering in-line with the plants’ needs and they’ll be no danger of you over-watering or under-watering plants – the causes of the most common gardening problems.
If you haven’t already got green fingers you’ll be relieved to hear that there’s no guesswork involved with the Quadgrow and Octogrow. The Quadgrow and Octogrow automatically control levels of water, nutrients and oxygen, so there’s no danger of under-watering or over-watering. The pots will care for your plants from spring planting to harvest.
Grow anywhere, no green space required
You can use your Quadgrow and Octogrow anywhere; in the garden, on the patio or indoors in your conservatory or kitchen. Just find a sunny spot.
Stress-free Holiday Watering
Our Quadgrow and Octogrow come complete with a Holiday Watering Kit which connects an external 25 litre reservoir (included) to the smaller integral reservoir and takes care of weekends and weeks away. Just top up the 25litre reservoir before you go and your plants will be watered for up to two weeks.
So, there’s no need to bribe your friends, neighbours and family and then cross your fingers that they don’t undo all your hard work with haphazard watering.

A head start – thanks to lids option
Add the optional lids and you’ll give tender plants the best start. They’ll be protected from frosts and nibbling pests.

How it Works
Simply add compost to the large 11 litre pots, add your young plants and then keep the integral reservoir topped up with water and our specially formulated plant food. You'll soon be enjoying bumper crops thanks to the the clever SmartMat powered watering which take water from the Integral Reservoir up to the soil in the each of the pots to provide your plants with the perfect balance of water, nutrients and oxygen. No under-watering, no over-watering, just guaranteed fabulous crops.
Enjoy stress free holidays thanks to the Holiday Watering Kit. The Internal Water Regulator ensures your reservoir is continuously topped up from the external 25l tank for up to two weeks. So your plants will have the access to water and nutrient they need whilst your are away.

What Can I Grow?

What people say
"Thank you for two wonderful items i have purchased from you, they have made me a happy gardener"
After having poor results for many years, Steve bought a Vitopod Propagator and Octogrow from us to see if he would fair any better. He planting his tomatoes on 16th February and even after 4 inches of snow they are going strong six weeks later and are already up to the third truss. Steve Renshaw, March 2010
"I got one of these last year and the results were very impressive - my tomato plants were much bigger than the plant in the photo."
I grew two pepper plants and two tomato plants in this and also grew the same varieties in ordinary pots for comparison. The difference in growth rate was so obvious even within a couple of weeks of the seedlings being planted. Not only were the Quadgrow plants taller, but each branch of the plant was thicker and healthier looking. My understanding is it is because the plant always gets exactly what it needs so it is always at maximum growth rate, whereas with the ordinary pots you are just guessing when it is thirsty, and how much water it wants. I got 44 big tomatoes off a single plant which hit the roof of my greenhouse and was still trying to flower in October. It doesn't need electricity or anything complicated, so I bought one for my parents too. J. Livsey, December 2009
"Just wanted to say how great I have found your Quadgrow product this year.
I planted two peppers and two tomatoes. The pepper plants are much bigger than they would be in ordinary pots and the tomatoes turned into vines that were only slowed down by the size of my greenhouse, much more productive than the same varieties in ordinary pots too.
The best thing about the Quadgrow is not having to fiddle with water pumps which makes them great for people without electricity in their greenhouse. I have tried a few self-watering products over the last few years, this one is genius. I am already deciding what to grow in it next year." Julian at thechileman.org, August 2009

Amazing difference in growth rate
Julian at thechileman.org reports on the great results he has had growing with a Quadgrow
Julian the Chileman sent in these photos, highlighting how well his tomatoes are growing in his Quadgrow.
He is growing a heritage tomato plant in this Quadgrow pot. Compare it to the plant in the pot alongside. The small blue pot is the same heritage tomato plant potted into a normal plant pot.
The automatic watering from the Quadgrow that is feeding the lucky heritage tomato is making a big difference in comparison to conventional growing.

The image above, on the right, is a comparison from Julian's Marianna's Peace tomatoes.
The plant on the left is growing in Julian's Quadgrow and it's receiving the Greenhouse Sensation balanced plant food, included in each Quadrow.
Both varieties were pricked out as seedlings at the same time and the difference in growth rate is amazing. The biggest leaves on the Quadgrow-grown plant are the length of the small plant.
