You can even see the roots is the Hydrogrow, our hardest working planter, it pumps water and nutrients directly to the plant roots to raise the biggest harvests, typically you’ll achieve 3 – 4x bigger yields and much faster growth than with traditional growing methods.

Plants are placed in the Hydrogrow without soil, so the roots have unrestricted access to oxygen and a pump delivers water and nutrients directly to the plants’ roots, so they can feed little and often. The result is that roots quickly grow thick and strong and your plants have constant access to all the nutrients, water and oxygen they require allowing them to focus all their energy on producing bumper harvests.
This hydroponic technique is used by professional growers because it consistently produces healthier plants, faster growth and larger harvests and because there are no soil-borne pests or diseases.
Options
Hydrogrow NFT – The electrically powered planters are available as 3 or 5 plant space planters. They need to be plugged into a mains power supply to power the pump and they include a heater which is placed in the reservoir to add warmth during the colder months. Very little electricity is used by the 6volt pump and the heater, it costs pennies a day to run.
Hydrogrow Solar - The solar powered option is a different shape and includes pebbles because instead of constant feeding the Solargrow feeds and waters twice every hour but with a much greater volume of water than the Hydrogrow, so the plants are not water-logged by the ‘flood’ of water provided. As the water drains back into the planter fresh oxygen is pulled down into the roots.
All come complete with everything you need to start growing including a heater and a season’s supply of specially formulated plant nutrients.
Add a Holiday Watering Kit, and your plants will be fed with nutrient solution for up to two weeks, taking care of weekends away and holidays.

2. Fill the reservoir below the planter with water and the nutrients supplied.
3. Relax whilst the pump in the reservoir constantly delivers water up through an irrigation pipe to the growing tray.
4. Whatever water is not used by the plants drains back into the reservoir.

1. Place well root-bound plants directly into the planter. Add the pebbles and cubes included.
2. Fill the reservoir with water and the nutrients included.
3. Relax whilst the solar panel charges a battery to pump the water up through an irrigation pipe to the planter twice every hour.
4. Whatever water is not used by the plants drains back into the reservoir.

How much will I harvest?
In 2009 we grew seven varieties of chilli in three different GS100 hydro systems. The varieties inlcuded Friars Hat, Portugal, Georgia Flame, Pasilla Bajio, Pusa Jwalia, Nepali Orange and Joes Long.
Heres are Victoria's results for Nepali Orange. This plant grew over 180cms. Just look at the incredible growth spurt in May...
We had more than plenty to share ...a total of 245 chillies.
