Grow your own chillies with one of our chilli growing kits designed by Chilli Experts to help you grow bumper harvests no matter how little space you have. We have everything you need to grow your own chillies from seed to mature chilli plants which produce bigger harvests.

Chillies love warm sheltered spots and need an optimum temperature of 18° to 22° with plenty of bright light and need to be very regularly fed and watered. However over-watering prevents roots from accessing oxygen leading to unsuccessful growth. Incorrect watering causes most gardening problems and chillies are no different.

Simply fill the 7 litre SmartReservoir and let the FeederMats in the pots pull water up to the roots when they need it. Although your chilli plants have access to water when they need it they are never stood in water so access to oxygen is never limited.

Unless you’re growing in one of our Chilli Growing Kits with our plant nutrients, feed your chillies with a general liquid fertiliser until they are established. Following that use a high potash fertiliser to encourage your chillies to flower and fruit. Keep them weed-free and keep an eye out for common pests.

Whatever your taste, mild, medium, hot or sweet, they are a firm favourite for adding flavour and colour to meals and they have well documented health benefits. The size your chilli plant will reach depends on the variety you choose, and with a wide variety of chillies to choose from you will be sure to find one to suit your location and growing space. Small varieties such as Apache are idea for growing at home on your windowsill but if you have additional space such as a greenhouse then there is a vast array of flavour sensations to tantaslise your taste buds.

• Fresno Supreme (annuum) - Its thick mild flesh means the Fresno Supreme Chilli is excellent for stir fries and adds a warm flavour to savoury dishes.
• Rocoto Red (pubessens) - This medium chilli resembles a small bell pepper, sometimes called a 'Gringo Killer'. This chilli adds the perfect combination of heat and flavour to a variety of dishes.
• Trinidad Scorpion (chinense) - This explosive chilli gets its name because the end of the chilli resembles a Scorpions tail. This fiery chilli makes the perfect base for your marinades and hot sauces.
• Corno Rosso or Corno del Torro (annuum) - This tasty sweet chilli is perfect raw with dips or roasted whole and stuffed
