The easiest way to grow wildflowers from seed!
The 'Bird Mix' seedballs are designed to attract and feed birds for you, offering a more natural and sustainable way of feeding!
The selection of plant seeds have been carefully selected as they will attract a wide range of birds including goldfinches, blue tits, chaffinches, greenfinches, robins, starlings and more.
And they won't be the only visitors! Whilst in bloom, expect the flowers to attract a wide range of insects, which in turn will also attract more birds and provide an abundant food source.
What are Seedballs?
A ball made from seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chili powder.
The composition of the balls prevents the seeds from becoming a tasty snack for birds and insects, greatly increasing the growing success rate. Plus, as the seeds already have the ingredients needed to grow, within the ball, there is no need for digging and no expert knowledge needed!
How to Sow
It couldn't be more simple! Just scatter onto soil or compost in a garden bed or planter in Spring or Autumn, leaving at least 10cm between each ball.
Your Seedball has everything it needs to grow and, once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is right, your seeds will germinate. Expect to see sprouts seen in 4-6 weeks!
How Many Seeds?
Each ball contains approximately 30 seeds, with approx 20 balls in each tin.
The entire tin will provide coverage for around 1 square metre in a garden, or 3-5 medium sized pots.
