Ready for bigger yields? Meet Origin!
Perfect For Courgettes, Beans, Cucumbers, Chillies, Peas and of course Tomatoes, Peppers and any tall cropping plants.
Origin is one of the most popular timed hydroponic systems, and has a lot of fans! And with the results she produces, it’s not hard to see why!
If you’re familiar with our Solar-Quadgrow, you’ll probably love our Wilma system too! It works on a similar principle of drip feeding nutrient solution into the tops of the system’s pot. This works on a times, set up so it feeds your plants at the same times every day, several times a day. Any nutrients and water not absorbed by the plant runs back into the reservoir below the pots to be reused – no water logged roots means no nasty root rot!
The Origin is perfect for experimenting with different types of media – it can be used with soil, HydroCoco, clay pebbles or a mixture! See what works best for your plants!
Setting up your Origin is super simple:
- Place your plants into the pots filled with soil, HydroCoco or clay pebbles, whichever medium you’ve decided to try out.
- Add water and your Nutrigrow plant nutrients
- Set your timer, we recommend 1x 15 minute feeds a day to start off with if you’re growing in soil or HydroCoco, or 2 x 15 minutes if you’re growing in mixed media or with clay pebbles.
- For best results, check the pH of your water weekly – the ideal range is between 5.8 and 6.2.
- Every 14 days empty the reservoir and refill your Origin with fresh water and nutrient solution.
- Get ready for bumper crops!
Choose from our Small Origin system, which contains 4 x 11L pots, or the Large Origin with 4 x 18L pots.
The Origin reservoir holds either 30 or 50 Litres of nutrient solution depending on which size Origin you choose, so there's no need to worry about getting to your greenhouse or allotment every day to water - you can even go away on holiday safe in the knowledge that your plants are being fed. It’s like having your own personal gardener!
