Details

As featured in the Guardian, these Wildflower Mix Seed Tins are simply ingenious.

Seed balls are ingenious! They are seeds covered in a clay and compost mix enriched with nutrients to encourage growth and chilli which act as a protective casing from slugs, ants and birds.

Simply scatter the seedballs onto soil in a pot or in the garden and once permeated by rain, the seeds begin to germinate.

Each tin includes sufficient seeds for one m2 or 4 medium plant pots.

Bee Mix Seed Tin

The flowers that bees love including Birdsfoot trefoil, Foxglove, Red clover, Viper's bugloss and Wild marjoram, all recommended by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Plus, you enjoy some annual flowers too - Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly

Bird Mix Seed Tin

Flowers include Common Poppy, Corn marigold, Greater knapweed, Sheep sorrel, Tufted vetch and Wild carrot.

Butterfly Mix Seed Tin

Flowers include Forget-me-not, Musk mallow, Purple loosestrife, Red campion and Yarrow as well as annual Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly flowers. All flowers which butterflies love!

Shade Mix Seed Tin

Flowers specially selected to grow well in shady spots. The mix includes Bellflower, Forget-me-not, Meadow buttercup, Meadowsweet, Oxeye daisy, Ragged robin and Red campion.

Poppy Seed Tin

Grow the common field poppy, the famous remembrance poppy. This beautiful bright red flower blooms every year from May to July and grows from 30cm to 60cm tall.
The remembrance poppy is the common field poppy, one of the first wildflowers to colonise disturbed ground or fallow cornfields. It became identified with the battle zones of the First World War, or Flanders Fields, which were originally corn fields.

Urban Meadow Mix Seed Tin

These beautiful flowers were specially selected to do well in urban areas. This colourful combination of annuals and perennials was developed in collaboration with River of Flowers - a fantastic organisation working to create and connect urban meadows across the globe. It includes Common toadflax, cornflower, cowslip, meadow cranesbill, musk mallow, oxeye daisy and red campion.
