6 cups diced green papaya
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon butter

1.    Peel and dice papaya.

2.    Boil in salted water until tender.

3.    Remove from the heat and add butter.

4.    The cooked pawpay may be mashed if preferred.

5.    Serve hot as a vegetable.
