Have you ever dreamt of growing bumper crops of your favourite tall cropping plants but have never been sure how to achieve it? Struggled with watering your plants on a regular schedule? We know all too well these problems, which is why our team of horticultural experts created the Quadgrow Self-Watering Planter.
This 4 pot self-watering planter waters your plants at the optimal times, keeping the soil at the perfect moisture levels – never too dry or waterlogged. This means that your plants roots have better access to oxygen which fuels faster growth meaning you generate bigger harvests of your favourite tomatoes, aubergines, sweet peppers, beans, cucumbers, courgettes, peas and all other tall-cropping plants.
Have your prized pants ever suffered from root rot, split fruit or blossom end rot? These problems are now a thing of the past as the planter avoids all risk of erratic watering due it’s precisely controlled watering schedule.
How does the Quadgrow work?
No electricity in your greenhouse, polytunnel or patio? Not a problem! The Quadgrow works all without electricity or timers as it works as a wick-based system. This works through FeederMats inside the pots pulling water up from the 30 litre SmartReservoir into your soil around your plants roots – precisely where the plants need it - maintaining perfect moisture at all times.
Automatically water your plants when away on holiday
Just picture the scene… you return from an amazing holiday with your friends or family and return to luscious bumper crops that are twice as big as growing in standard pots or grow bags. This is because the Quadgrow keeps plants watered for up to 14 days – making it the perfect choice if you are a regular holidaymaker.
If you want to leave your plants for longer than 14 days in the summer either ask a neighbour to pop in and top-up the SmartReservoirs or link a water butt to the Quadgrow(s) using the optional Water Butt Link Kits. These kits include everything you need to connect a water butt to your Quadgrow including a water level controller which sits in the SmartReservoir and all the pipes and connectors. When the water level drops in the planters reservoir more water is pulled from the water butt.
Easy to set-up and operate
The Quadgrow is incredibly easy to set-up and operate. Growers of any age and ability can use this self-watering planter and achieve incredible results. You simply place the Quadgrow's FeederMats in the 4x 11 litre pots, add multi-purpose compost, pot on your plants in the pots, and add water to the SmartReservoir below the pots.
The Quadgrow is eco-friendly as it is made from recycled plastic. This means that you can be proud that you are helping the planet by growing in a sustainable way without any harm done. Furthermore, as the planter re-uses water from its reservoir you are helping reduce water waste.
The planter comes with a FREE bottle of our award-winning Nutrigrow Plant Food which lasts you an entire season. These nutrients makes up 416 litres of diluted plant food and contains all the nutrients plants require to thrive, so no need for Tomorite or other plant supplements. These nutrients allow you to grow a more bountiful crop full of goodness!

Ask us a question
Our Quadgrow self-watering planter is a great alternative to growing vegetables in pots and growbags and is the perfect way to grow your own tomatoes.
The Quadgrow self-watering pot produces healthier plants and bigger harvests by providing plants with constant access to water without ever over-watering.
What happens when we overwater?
Overwatering prevents roots from accessing oxygen and is the number one cause of plant demise.
When soil is over-watered the pores in the soil become blocked and the roots can't access the air in the soil. Roots need access to oxygen in order to absorb water and nutrients, so a lack of oxygen means that the roots can't take up water or nutrients. A plant weakened by overwatering is susceptible to disease, particularly fungal attacks. If the over-watering is repeated the roots suffocate and die.
What happens when we under-water?
Underwatered plants don’t have enough water to make glucose for photosynthesis, for developing cells and for two other critical functions.
1: Transporting nutrients and glucose
Water is needed to carry nutrients from the soil and glucose from the leaves to the other parts of the plant. This is why the calcium deficiency blossom end rot is often caused by erratic watering even if there is sufficient calcium in the soil but not enough water to transport it to the tomatoes.
2: Accessing carbon dioxide
Plants access the carbon dioxide they need for photosynthesis by opening the pores on their leaves and stems. When the pores open they also release water. If the plant is short of water it won't open the pores as often and therefore it won't photosynthesise as much, which will lead to lack of glucose and stunted growth. Sunny, hot weather and windy conditions increase the rate of water loss through the pores, so plants need more water in these conditions.
