Vivigrow Planter - Transplanting Tomatoes

Friday, 28 February 2014 12:23:42 Europe/London

After 10 weeks we have just transplanted out first tomato plants in to our Vivigrow Planter and are already looking forward to another bumper harvests. This year we are growing cristal, rosada and san marzano in our Vivigrow Planter.

Our Vivigrow planter is perfect for competitive gardenders as you can grow all your favourite veg including tomatoes, chillies and other tall cropping veg in water instead of soil.

Not only will you be able to watch the roots grow, but you will also be able to see the rate of water & nutrients take-up changes as the plants develop, and your harvest will be 3-4x bigger.

You'll need a power supply in your greenhouse or polytunnel because the planter contains a small pump which costs a few pennies a day to run and you'll be more than repaid by the bigger crops. If you fancy growing your own tomatoes, have a look at our Tomato growing guide here.
