Superb frost protection.

We think this is the best insulating frost protection fleece available. At 35gsm this garden frost fleece is double the thickness of standard gardening fleece. Perfect for covering plants and wrapping around palms, shrubs and fruit trees. This garden fleece provides highly effective protection against frost, wind, hail, insects and birds, but is also light enough to be placed directly on your plants and trees. The garden frost fleece is permeable enough to allow air and moisture through to maintain healthy growth.

This crop protection fleece protects against light and heavy frosts, rain, bird damage and game damage. It regulates the temperature through day and night.

Frost causes the water in plant cells to freeze, damaging the cell wall. Matters are made worse when plants face the morning sun as this causes them to defrost quickly, rupturing their cell walls. The frost fleece can be draped over tender plants and new buds or wrapped around trees to keep them warm and prevent frost damage during the winter.

Simply drape over your plants or use with the fleece & fabric pegs (available separately) to provide instant weather and pest protection from a single layer.

In the early spring use the frost protection fleece prior to planting to warm up the soil and then for keeping the frost off early crops. Just peg the fleece loosely over your seedlings and they'll push it upwards as they grow. Early sowings will get off to a head start and be protected from pests and any late spring frosts.

Horticultural frost fleece protects tender plants, foliage and new buds from frost and snow so that the water in the plant cells doesn’t freeze. Simply drape over plants and shrubs or wrap around trees.

When temperatures rise during March and April your seeds will start to grow rapidly. But every time temperatures drop, growth grinds to a halt. A covering of fleece keeps temperatures up, ensuring steady growth. It also diffuses strong sunlight, providing shade and preventing scorching

We are currently only able to deliver our products to the UK mainland and Northern Ireland. As such, we are currently unable to deliver to any of the UK islands, with the exception of Anglesey and the Isle of Wight although an increased P&P charge of £14.95 applies for deliveries to the Highlands of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Wight – see DELIVERY CHARGES below.

Our standard delivery charge is £5.95 per order. We do however have several products that do attract a lower P&P of only £3.95, these items are clearly marked as “Low Cost P&P item”. For deliveries to the Highlands of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Wight, an increased P&P charge of £14.95 will apply – see below for full details.
